We need recognition of this day in universal calendar.
We want regime change in Iran, if obama wants to wish us happiness, DO NOT NEGOCIATE WITH TERRORISTS, WE ARE ALL HOSTAGE BT THESE TERRORISTS, ,, REGIME CHANGE, REGIME CHANGE REGIME CHANGE
Zarathustra or Zartosht fortold the birth of Christ- hence the 3 magi , which is a Persian word. He believed in reincarnation, as I do. The 25th of December was celebrated in Persia as the birth of Mitra- our sun-god. It makes sense since thats winter Solstice. It was adopted by Romans and Christians later on- as the birth of Christ. This awakening- our awakening- is for all . Blessings.
Persia rising. It makes sense to celebrate the beg. of spring as a time of re-birth: What a Civilized Idea”. By the way, Easter is taken from the Zoroastrian tradition, both the name and practice. Norooz Piroz to all of you.
ok, I’m a Persian myself and have been living here for four years, I haven’t seen any disrespect between these 2 cultures so far. I haven’t seen any crime committed by Iranians. nobody hates us here. well, there are bad people in every culture, nobody can deny it, but it’s better not to judge a whole nation by those bad guys.
I’m not saying these words as advise my friend. it’s only my opinion.
stay cool and be happy.
Bad people look for bad in others. However, good people see and recognize good people and have good experience. If anyone stop and think how to change himself/herself instead of see flaw in others will change his attitude toward others. I will pray for the one who can not see good in other people and God willing they will change for better. God bless you all who help society to become a stronger and healthier community.
Why not celebrate “Norooz” as well as Easter,Thanksgiving,Christmas,New Years, etc. etc. Irianians in America have the best of both worlds/cultures..Thank GoD !!!!!!!!!!!

The US can’t really do anything to change the government of Iran. Change will have to come from within.

You forgot to mention the Afghans. Afghans celebrate Nowrooz as well with the Iranians. It is not only a celebration commemorated in Iran.
