What is the lonegest professional sport that is played for a season?
Cata asked:
Im guessing that it is baseball that goes from spring to fall but i’m not sure. On average how many months does each sport endure for?

It is likely European Soccer leagues, running form Mid August to Early May, but with competitive matches of some sort running from early June to Mid May (European qualifying, etc.) In the US, it is probably Basketball, running from Late October to Early June (counting the play-offs)

Well first of all, Pro sports have very different schedules from their non-pro counterparts, but I know you asked about pro, so that’s what I’ll answer.
I know baseball seems long, especially with 182 games, but they are pretty much every day. Basketball starts in late october and the playoffs go into June, so thats a ton. Hockey starts earlier, and it also goes freakishly far. I think those two go the longest. But because they are pros, the player’s complete offseason time (where they have NO work) is very short, because training camps and practices start way before the season starts.

Baseball is the longest in terms of games and hockey is the longest in terms of months. These are the regular season games and don’t include the playoffs.
MLB: Early April- End September * exact date varies*
(6 months [162 games])
NBA: October 30-April 16
(6 months 17 days[82 games])
NFL:Early September-End December *exact date varies*
(4 months [16 games])
NHL:Early October-EarlyApril *exact date varies*
(7 months [82 games])
So in order of season length it goes:
1)NHL
2)NBA
3)MLB
4)NFL
ps. NASCAR doesn’t count, its not a sport. If I were counting things like that golf would win, it goes 10 months out of the year.
