What is the IRS in Canada? What certification does it take to prepare taxes for Canada?
Captain asked:
Also what does it take to become a CPA in Canada? Who is the advisory board for CPA’s in Canada?

Our equivalent of the IRS is the Canadian Revenue Agency, the CRA
Truthfully, it doesn’t take any certification to do taxes (some tax places hire people off the street, and give them some training) although there are courses available.
CPA is an American designation, but it is respected in Canada. Many Canadians get one, and you can get a job with one (the US is our biggest trading partner, after all).
There are three formally recognized financial designations in Canada: Chartered Accountant (CA); Certified General Accountant (CGA); and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
