How to tie down a sport bike in the back of a truck?
RJ S asked:
I want to put my sport bike in the back of my truck, but because of all the plastic around the front, should I tie it down any different than a dirtbike. If I put the straps off the handlebars, I’m worried they will put too much pressure on the plastic and possibly crack/break it. Any tips are appreciated.

Go to a motorcycle shop and buy a sport bike tie down strap. It hooks over the handlebars and lets you hook up your regular straps without damaging the handlebars or plastics.

What Terje said. Also, compress the forks as far as you can when you attach your tiedowns. If you do that and get the front tire tight against the front of the truck bed, you probably won’t even need to tie down the back, but I do it anyway.
