Pre-emptive strikes would work. As for Iran’s allies, Syria (and its proxy, Lebanon) would be one, along with Indonesia and most likely Russia and/or China. Whether their support goes beyond saber rattling is open.

Impossible to stop them without military action. Russia is making it easy for them to make advancements. Unless they change their minds I believe Israel will strike and America will be forced into a war.

They can’t prevent them. This is the problem. Radical Islam makes no concessions, and even if they say they will, they are lying. They are convinced that they are in the end times, and will do whatever they feel is necessary to bring about the conditions needed to bring their Prophet back. That is war. And I say Pakistan and Afghanistan would be rallying to their defense.

Could get Iraq to do it–they did fight Iran for years, but Braq will never authorize it.
There is some who feel the election in Iran latter this year might alter Iran’s nuke projects, but Iran is being run by Religious leaders not politicians, so Iran will work until it gets nukes–unless they are stopped with military force.
Then we might lose Egypt, Saudies, Kurate, Oman, UAE and Dubai.

There is no way to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons short of taking military action. Iran is a sovereign nation and for us to say they can’t have nuclear weapons would be like them telling us we can’t have bio-fuels.
It is my understanding that Russia and China have close ties with Iran, especially Russia. I’m sure they would have something to say about any intervention into Iran’s internal affairs. My bet would be on Israel taking military action against Iran since the president of Iran has stated that he seeks the annihilation of Israel.

Do you know something?Your under the pressure of big publicity against iran.You probably think that iranians are some wild people who all have a AK-47 in their houses and riding a camel in the streets.But we are not like this!we are an old nation with a great culture and peace like people.just have a trip to iran.you will see this.
now,we talk about your question.as I said,we are peace like people;so we are not about to have such a bomb.actually,we do not need this;because we are the mightiest rocket power in the south west of asia.and we are not like to start a war,and in our big,honorable history we aren’t started big wars and in a lot of wars between our nation and other nations,we act as the defensive type.and because of this we don’t need to have a nuclear bomb.
we just want to have nuclear energy as a mean to reach a big amount of energy!
U.S.A and Israel do not want us to have this type of energy because they scar that maybe we could become to the most powerful nation in south west of asia.because this area have the reachest oil banks.and if iran close the way of persian gulf,half of the world’s oil will be cutted.and they do not want this.
So,they use the power of publicity and politic war to avoid Iran reach this type of energy.
But as our president said,nuclear energy is our right!

Well, if we couldn’t or wouldn’t prevent the Soviet Union or Communist China from gaining atomic weapons, how could or why would we attempt to stop Iran? Are the thugs who run Iran somehow worse than the thugs who run China, or ran the Soviet Regime? How so?
Both of the nations that I mentioned murdered tens of millions of their own people. That didn’t seem to bother our politicians. We need to look a little closer into why they are trying to push us into war (undeclared, of course) with Iran.
And the answer is, they want to replace the current Iranian government with one that is more amenable to the New World Order.
